When Jenna ended up being born so close to Jesse I was relieved that they didn’t share their birthday. And if possible I didn’t want them to share a birthday party either. This year I absolutely wanted their parties separate since it was Jenna’s first birthday, but after throwing two parties in less than a week I have decided from here on out the parties will be combined until they are old enough to ask for their own.
We had Jenna’s party last Tuesday evening. I hurried home from work to order pizza and cook wings since a last minute menu changed occurred when the planned Chinese food take out order completely fell through. We invited a few friends and family to celebrate baby girl’s first birthday here on earth. She might not remember it but it’s still a special one.
“….happy birthday dear Jenna……happy birthday to you…..”
Unlike Jesse who was covered in birthday cake for his first birthday, Jenna is more of the dainty girly type.
Small little fingers nibbles of birthday cake….well most of the time small nibbles of birthday cake. Other times, it was a big ‘ol chomp outta that thing. Delicious
We realized we forgot party hats, so before Jenna finished up her cake, we took a quick photo of her wearing it.
For the record this is about as messy as she got.
Happy Birthday little princess…maybe this be the first of many many many more.
